Alphabet has two investing arms; Google Capital focuses on longer-term bets.
Capital says its aim is to invest in companies that could disrupt their industries using technology. It has invested in education companies such as Duolingo, and Renaissance Learning, cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike, financial companies CreditKarma and Lending Club, as well as SurveyMonkey, which had been run by Sheryl Sandberg's late husband Dave Goldberg.
