Filtering even the dirtiest water

WaterO's filtration system uses reverse osmosis to purify the dirtiest water -- even when it comes from Flint, Michigan.

WaterO uses four different filters and has two displays, which measure particles in the water before and after the filtering process.

It's doesn't require installation and because it's a smart device, it can be controlled through an app. Bonus: The app will also suggest when you should have a glass of water to stay hydrated.

Onstage at TechCrunch Disrupt, CEO Yu Zhou brought lead-contaminated water from Michigan and filtered it for judges to consume (they did). The need for WaterO is very apparent, said Zhou onstage.

"If you look at the United States, there's actually lead, arsenic and other heavy metals in cities that we've never even heard of ... If you look at the rest of the world, 10% of the world has a water pollution problem."

For $399, it'll be available to consumers in June, said Zhou.
