Bird's app, Knottybird, would be aimed at tracking snowboarders movements.
"Knotty bird uses vast data your smartphone collects as a personal judge of your physical performance in real time," Bird said. The smartphone app would measure a skier's speed, vertical banked air, and rotations on the slopes.
It also would enable a community of athletes to watch one another's victories and wipeouts. Users could challenge their friends and rank themselves against the community.
