If Boston Dynamics has the land-bound robots covered, Titan Aerospace is taking care of the sky. Google bought the drone maker last month, after it turned heads with its high-altitude, solar-powered vehicles that can stay aloft for up to five years without landing of refueling.
That capability makes the drones an intriguing possibility for beaming out Internet service in remote areas, and they've also got potential applications for agriculture and disaster relief.
