Goldman Sachs moved up on this year's list of 100 Top MBA Employers, ranking third this year up from fourth place last year.
The survey was conducted before the company was charged by the SEC with defrauding investors in the sale of subprime mortgage securities, but most MBA grads would probably still jump at the chance to work for one of Wall Street's most admired firms.
Hiring plans: This year the investment bank is hiring more MBAs than it did in 2009, said company spokeswoman Gia Morón, and has positions across all of its divisions.
"Goldman Sachs looks for candidates who demonstrate a strong record of excellence, innovation and creativity in their prior work experience," said Morón. "Our new associate class comprises people with prior experience in financial services as well as those from a variety of industries and professional backgrounds."
The bank often gets a sense of whether a candidate is a good fit for the company during its 10-week summer internship program, awarding the top performers full-time gigs.
