Hiring plans: After posting the strongest first-quarter financials in the firm's history, Bain & Company is eager to bring on board its largest-ever summer intern class, and plans to hire MBAs at all of its 42 global offices, said company spokesman Dan Pinkney.
Bain recruits first-year MBA students for 10-week summer associate internships, and second-year MBAs for consultant positions. Both immediately join client teams upon starting at the firm.
What they're looking for: Candidates should demonstrate the ability to produce measurable results for an organization.
"Successful Bain interviewees are practical -- they demonstrate the ability to 'think like owners,' and craft solutions during their interview discussions that would result in real results for their clients," Pinkney said.
