What's the perfect credit score?
To ensure the best deal on any loan, aim for 780-plus on your FICO score. But, that's not always possible. Here are the minimum scores recommended by experts for the best rates on loans.
EXPERT SAYS: "If you have a score around 740, you're going to be up for the best rates issuers put out, so you may get that low 11.99% APR being advertised," said Bill Hardekopf, CEO of LowCards.com. "With a score in the 660's, you'll probably get approved, but you're not going to get those low rates since issuers price on risk and your score isn't as pristine."
