Equinox is one of the oldest names in the compact crossover business, but the new version, introduced for the 2010 model year, more than keeps up with the state of the art. The interior is attractive, roomy and comfortable. The ride is nice and it takes the turns in genuinely wagon-like fashion. The Eqiunox's fuel economy is also excellent although you give up some acceleration for it.
One feature that's particularly handy is actually a carry-over from the old version. The back seats can slide forward or back to create legroom or cargo space as needed.
