Nissan is taking victory laps for the first-year success of the all-electric Leaf, which should come close to reaching its sales target of 10,000 cars. It's not a major business yet but good for bragging rights, and Nissan is planning three more battery-powered models, including an Infiniti sedan and a small van that can also be used as a taxi. Their progress rates will be watched closely to see if buyers move out of the early-adopter category and into the mainstream.
