Formerly the head of global advertising for Microsoft, Carolyn Everson joined Facebook in February as vice president of global sales. Though she's only known Sandberg a short while, Everson says that Facebook's Chief Operating Officer has had a large impact on her life. "It's the first time that I've had a woman mentor in my career," Everson says. She also notes that Hank Close, who she used to work with at MTV, has remained on her "own personal board of directors."
