I'm in the process of saving for a diamond engagement ring. However, it's nice to put some money towards paying down debt and also splurging on something for yourself. So if I get $2,200 back this year (which it looks like it'll be), I'm going to put $800 to $1,000 towards paying down debt, and the rest towards shopping and saving for a ring.
