On sale now, the Chevy Sonic is GM's fun-to-drive replacement for the late, unlamented Aveo. The RS version, unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, takes the performance up a notch or two with a 138 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine and four-wheel disc brakes. (Other Sonics have rear drum brakes.) The suspension has also been stiffened for better cornering.
