Company: China Petroleum and Chemical Corp.
Title: Chairman
Age: 60

Fu Chengyu has been credited with ushering in a new era of international competitiveness while serving as CEO of the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), turning the energy firm into China's most global state enterprise. In April 2011, Chengyu was appointed to serve as chairman of China's largest traditional state-owned enterprise -- China Petrochemical (SINOPEC). Going forward, Chengyu plans to help make China Petrochemical a bit leaner by reducing its overall workforce and expanding abroad. The firm recently announced a deal with South Africa's PetroSA to build a new refinery in South Africa.
