Subsidized fish
Subsidized fish
Launched in May 2011 by executive chefs Liv Wu and Quentin Topping, Google's community supported fishery program lets employees sign up for weekly supplies of subsidized local seafood provided exclusively by the Half Moon Bay Fisherman's Association. For up to $25, each employee gets up to two pounds of filleted fish, which is refrigerated at a central warehouse before it gets delivered to Google headquarters. Employees get discounted seafood that doesn't come at the expense of other wildlife.
