Dodge's new compact is a huge improvement but it's got a few weak spots.
Sadly, for a car called the Dart, it actually doesn't dart too well. The steering is pretty vague and the suspension is tuned for comfort rather than crisp performance. That's probably in line with what most buyers will be looking for but it's a little disappointing in a car that looks sort of sporty.
Again, though, the upcoming Dart R/T promises sportier suspension along with its more powerful engines. I have hopes for that one but, so far, the Dart feels a little dull to me.
