These are some of the most interesting multi-million dollar cars for sale at this year's Pebble Beach collector car auctions.
The McLaren F1 is one of the very few modern-era supercars to increase in value, and it has increased a lot.
"I know of a lot of these cars that have sold in the $5 million to $6 million range," said McKeel Hagerty.
That's for a car that originally sold for about $1 million when new.
What makes the three-seat McLaren sports car so unique for its time is how, with its V12 engine, it achieves superb driving performance without reliance on extraordinary technology. There's no supercharger or turbocharger and there's little computer technology to help a driver wring the most from the car.
All the same, according to those fortunate enough to have driven one, the F1 is an easy and enjoyable car to drive on ordinary roads.
This particular car comes with a set of fitted luggage and has a helpful factory-installed radar detector.
