Bentley plans to bring a plug-in hybrid to market in 2017 in the body of a Bentley SUV. But, since a design for the SUV hasn't been completed yet, Bentley's showing off the technology in its flagship Mulsanne luxury sedan.
Beyond 2017, Bentley will begin gradually adding plug-in hybrid technology as an option in its other cars. It will ultimately be available as an option on 90% of the ultra-luxury automaker's models, according to Bentley.
