The E-Tron Quattro is a more immediate offering from Volkswagen Group's electric vehicle makers. Audi is promising to sell an all-electric SUV, something very much like this, in early 2018. Audi claims it has a range of about 310 miles on a full charge and acceleration to 60 miles per hour in about 4.5 seconds. Probably not both in the same trip, however. Fast acceleration sucks up energy and cuts down on range.
