To find the best-performing women leaders, CNNMoney analyzed FactSet data on stock returns for all 24 female-run companies in the S&P 500 between March 1, 2014 and March 1, 2015.
We then excluded companies such as Reynolds American (RAI) and Ross Stores (ROST)whose female CEOs took office less than a year ago.
