Disconnect from the rest of the world on this 23-day voyage onboard the 'Le Boreal' that explores the water trade route between the Atlantic and Pacific known as the Northwest Passage.
This cruise will make its first trip next summer and crosses the entire passage, making stops in Greenland, Canadian Arctic provinces, Alaska and Russia's Far East. There's no cell service throughout the journey and a couple areas offer "very spotty" internet coverage, according to Jean Fawcett from travel agency Abercrombie & Kent.
After filling your days wandering around historic hunting villages on remote islands, admiring glaciers and snapping photos of wildlife, you won't even think about checking your inbox—even if you could. One stop includes a visit to Beechey Island, home to a memorial for Captain Sir John Franklin and his crew, who famously disappeared in 1845 in search of the Northwest Passage.
