"In October 2008, actor Paul Gross, who was our guest, attended a red carpet movie premiere while in Calgary. Just before leaving for the event, buttons on his vintage jacket fell off. The hotel didn't have any spare ones, nor were there any stores open for us to buy him some replacements.

"So, the concierge creatively took some fancy/antique-type buttons off an old uniform jacket from [hotel] storage and sewed them on the jacket -- fashioning up a 'one-of-a-kind' look for Paul. He was so happy with how it all turned out that Paul personally thanked them [the concierges] during his on-stage speech at the opening that evening!"
