While more than half of recent recruits at Morgan Stanley majored in accounting, economics, or business, the firm has also brought on students with more than a dozen other majors, including liberal arts, computer science, and software development.
Every June, Morgan Stanley holds a Global Volunteer Month, in which nearly 75% of employees participate in volunteer projects like mentoring students or cleaning up the environment. Last year, employees volunteered more than 200,000 hours as part of the initiative.
This year, the firm has hired more than 1,000 new analysts and associates fresh out of college. --B.B.
