Whitney Wolfe founded Bumble to put women into the driver's seat of online dating.
The app, where women make the first move, has about 20 million users worldwide.
Wolfe said she wants to empower women and eventually become the top social network.
"I define success by growth and positive impact," she told CNNMoney. "If you are having positive impact through your efforts, through what you focus on throughout the day, that is success in my book....Everything else is really just a cherry on top."
