Allbirds was founded by partners Joey Zwillinger and Tim Brown. The duo wanted to create a more sustainable shoe, and the final product is a wool shoe that can be thrown in the wash.
The company just opened its first store in New York and has become the go-to shoe for many in Silicon Valley.
"The biggest success that I can get is just extracting a ton of happiness every single day in all aspects of my life," Zwillinger said. "I think that success bleeds over because I'm so well supported with a family who loves what we're doing and gets really excited about it."
He added that "doing something that we think is important for the world" is success.
