A spike in online shopping is the best Christmas gift a delivery service like UPS could hope for.
The company expects to pick up 34 million packages around the world on December 16 -- its busiest day of the year.
To help with the busy season, UPS is hiring 55,000 seasonal employees to work as drivers, helpers, package sorters, loaders and unloaders.
