In Scandinavian countries like Norway, social norms have been shifting away from traditional gender roles, as governments try to encourage men to play a bigger role in raising children and taking care of household duties.

Take for example Norway's paternity leave quota, granting new fathers 10 weeks of leave after the birth of a baby, on a use-it-or-lose-it basis.

On average, Norwegian men do 44% of the housework, including childcare.
