One in four young people in Europe are out of work. These 20-somethings share their stories.
The United Kingdom is now one of Europe's fastest-growing economies, with unemployment levels falling while home prices rise.
Rory Field, an account executive at online recruitment firm Guru Careers, said his career has had ups and downs since he started working in 2010.
Field has worked for seven different companies since he was 18, and was laid off from his last job. But he's upbeat about job prospects in the country.
"General employment isn't so bad," he said. "There's always roles around, especially in London."
But Field notes that young people trying to score their first gig often face fierce competition. He's seen 1,500 applicants vie for junior positions.
The economy appears to be picking up, though, he said.
"Things are still a bit too expensive, especially for young people," he said. "Getting onto the housing market or paying for insurance for your car is a bit ridiculous. But employment opportunities are improving. It's not that bad."
