Seattle-based HWA provided security guards to government offices in several states. But when it was found in violation of overtime rules, the Department of Labor banned it from federal contracts for a three-year period.
Securitas has also been found in violation of various Fair Labor Standards Act rules. The company paid out $131,000 in back-pay for overtime violations to some of its Memphis-based workers, for work done between 2005 and 2007.
