Residents of North Dakota are benefiting in many ways from the energy book. The legislature state legislature has decreased both income and business taxes.
But sinking oil prices are already starting to hold North Dakota back. While the state remained at the top of the list in 2014, its GDP growth fell from 9.7% in 2013 to 6.3% in 2014.
