It's truly amazing what some people will try to carry on to a plane. Most of the knives, power tools, scissors, etc. are resold by the TSA at state-run stores like the one in Harrisburg, Pa.
It doesn't have to be a weapon to get barred by the TSA. It just has to look like one.
Pennsylvania press secretary Troy Thompson brandished a $6 plastic sword at the state store in Harrisburg. The toy sword is harmless, but it looks enough like the real thing for the TSA to take it away.
