One of the fastest growing cities in the nation, San Antonio's robust economy is well diversified with jobs in government services, health care, energy and the financial service industries.

An influx of workers to fill those jobs has helped the area's population grow by more than 6% over the past several years. That has kept demand for homes high and pushed prices higher.

According to Zillow, the market has been hitting new highs almost every month since the recovery.
