Want a slice of Civil War-era history for a steal?

Named Confederate View because residents watched the Civil War Battle of Trenton from its balcony, this antebellum home is in excellent condition, according to seller Cathey Crim-Haynes, whose family has owned it for nearly a century.

Among its long list of features are Ionic columns and a grand interior staircase. There's also a double parlor separated by French doors. While many details -- such as the wooden windows and transoms over doorways -- are original, the house has also been modernized with central heat and air.

The first owner, Dr. W.W. Lea, brought with him from England the seven fireplace mantels that still grace the home.

The half-acre property, which includes a small, separate home that used to serve as a servant's quarters, has a broad front lawn and many tall trees.
