You don't need a personal assistant or a corporate travel department. These apps will change how you get around, saving you time -- and money.
This free iPhone app is billed as "the calendar with a brain." It syncs with real-time traffic data to calculate drive times, alerting you when it's time to get on the road. Running behind schedule? Just tap the "late" button to text meeting attendees.
Even better, the app connects to LinkedIn, Evernote and your address book to provide photos and bios of the people you're meeting, any relevant notes and contact options. "We try to alleviate as much of the grunt work as possible," says Max Wheeler, founder of Alminder, which makes the app.
By year's end, a premium version will let you track your miles for expense reports and taxes. It will also measure time spent in internal meetings versus those with clients and gauge work-life balance, like how often you make it to the gym.
