Cotton candy
3 of 6
Every kid loves cotton candy. But entrepreneur Giselle Hall has made a version that's very adult-friendly.
It's the latest in her cannabis-infused candy line Kandy Care, which she launched in 2011.
"My mother needed cannabis most of her life for medical reasons," Hall said. And when another acquaintance, a 76-year-old with throat cancer, was unable to smoke marijuana, Hall decided to create an alternative.
"I decided to make hard candy that he could suck and the THC could easily be absorbed through the salivary gland," she said.
The hard candies and lollipops (which are meant for medicinal use) are based on an old family candy recipe.
Two years later, she added THC-infused cotton candy to her brand. Kandy Care products are only available in California.
Hall said every batch of her candy is lab-tested to ensure that it's free of contaminants.
