Over the next three months, tech companies will be launching some of their most highly-anticipated gadgets. Here's what to expect -- or hope -- for in the fall.
Amazon (AMZN) is holding a press conference on Sept. 6, at which the company is widely believed to be unveiling its latest Kindle e-reader and tablet lineup.
The new version of the Kindle Fire tablet is expected to be lighter and thinner with a higher resolution. An anticipated change in aspect ratio would also make the device's screen able to play high definition videos without any black bars, similar to Google's Nexus 7 and Microsoft's Surface.
Other new additions could include a camera, various storage options and even a 10-inch model -- which would compete with the iPad.
As for the Kindle e-reader, some speculate that it will include an on-board light for the first time. Barnes and Noble (BKS) released its Nook e-reader with GlowLight earlier this year, allowing readers a better way to read in dark settings.
