Over the next three months, tech companies will be launching some of their most highly-anticipated gadgets. Here's what to expect -- or hope -- for in the fall.
How much longer will "wii" have to wait for the Wii U, the long-awaited update to Nintendo's six-year-old video game console? Many expect the company to announce a definite release date at a special event on Sept. 13. For now, Nintendo simply says it will launch during the holidays.
The biggest change to the gaming console comes with the accompanying motion-sensitive controller. The GamePad controller includes a 6.2-inch touchscreen, adding another level of interaction with its games. The next generation of the Wii will also stream content from media apps like Netflix (NFLX), Amazon and Hulu.
