It might look like a scene from a sci-fi film, but this Ford F-150 is actually going through a high-tech dirt detection system, at the Dearborn Truck Plant in Michigan, in 2013.
The system uses high-resolution cameras and reflected light to find imperfections on the surface of the car finer than a grain of salt -- a job that until recently had relied on the human eye.
