You can now do more from the lock screen, including connect to a Wi-Fi network, put your PC into airplane mode, and see notifications like how many emails you have in your inbox.
Windows also brought Bing's stunning photographs to your lock screen in a feature called "Spotlight."
It's optional -- you can still have a photo of the kids, if you want. But Spotlight shows you beautiful scenes from nature and lets you decide which photos you like and which you don't. As it learns, it will tailor images to your tastes. Spotlight also will occasionally highlight Windows features and apps that it thinks you might be interested in. You can turn them off, but it's a fun, unobtrusive way to learn more about Windows 10.
