The job:
As a tutor, you can directly influence a student's approach to learning. You offer assistance outside the classroom to people who are having difficulty with a particular subject or with studying overall. You assist pupils of all ages and abilities and use different methods to get them engaged in the material and motivated to learn. Working one-on-one with a student or in a group setting, tutors can improve confidence and inspire a life-long love for learning. If you're patient, enthusiastic and have a knack for breaking down and explaining concepts, this could be the second career for you.
How to switch:
You'll need proficiency in the subject you want to tutor. If you want to work for an agency, an undergraduate degree is usually required. Previous classroom experience or experience working with students is a plus.
