Aberdeen, SD
Median commute: 9.92 minutes

Nicknamed the "Hub City," for all the railroads that once crossed through it, Aberdeen is still an economic center in South Dakota today.

Residents reach their work posts in less than ten minutes, on average, due to a lack of traffic and a wealth of jobs in the town's 13 square miles: Avera St. Luke's Hospital, 3-M and Cendant all supply plenty of nearby employment.

In their off-time, locals can take in a sports game at Northern State University - the basketball team draws the second largest crowd of any Division II school in the country - or take advantage of the area lakes for fishing.
