Two men at work on the $15 million Northeastern Nevada Railport outside Elko. The railport, built on 800 acres of former ranch land, is a centerpiece of the town's efforts to diversity its economy and lessen its reliance on gold mining. It opens this fall and will eventually employ up to 900 workers.
