Sold: Madoff's Palm Beach house
The U.S. Marshals sold Madoff's home on the shores of the Intracoastal Waterway. Check out where he docked The Bull.
Bernard Madoff's Palm Beach getaway is no longer on the shopping block.
After multiple offers, the home sold Friday for $5.65 million, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. It had been on the market for almost a year. The U.S. Marshals and the Corcoran Group -- the real estate company that listed the home -- declined to identify the buyer.
Here's a look at what you missed:
Dense tropical plantings, such as banana, palm and fig trees, shield the front of the Palm Beach house from prying eyes. The double veranda gives the house an antebellum air.
