Brunswick is a small college town on a beautiful river and a short drive to the picturesque coast. We also own at a small lake side camp, which is what we call a cabin here, in western Maine that we purchased a few years ago.
During the winter and when the weather cools, we travel throughout the South in a small camping trailer. When we escape the cold in our RV, we generally stay on the back roads visiting many fascinating towns, historical sites and national parks.
When we take to the road, we head south out of Maine, then make a right turn and go out to the Southwest where we hunker down for a few months. Then we follow the summer weather as it moves north, make another right and head home. Life is a square circle.
We love the coast of Maine, and we love living the RV lifestyle; for us, it's the best of both worlds. I have a 401(K) and a pension from the Navy and another from Lockheed Martin, so we're comfortable. We may sell the house in Brunswick -- it's getting too big for us -- and just live in the lake cabin when we're in Maine.
