The HS250h cockpit has a distinct sci-fi feel that separates it from the rest of the Lexus lineup. It's a highly functional layout with the pop-up computer interface screen in easy view. The mouse-like toggle used to control that interface is a best-in-the-business innovation that's easy and enjoyable to use. Driving performance is, to be honest, a downer. As with most Lexus cars, the steering feels artificial and numb. But unlike a typical Lexus, when you need acceleration, the gasoline responds with considerably more noise than power. Acceleration is ultimately acceptable, but there are no thrills to be had, for sure.
