Though sold at Mercury dealers in the United States, the Mercury name and badge appeared nowhere on the Capri itself. Ford simply billed it as "imported for Lincoln-Mercury."
A product of Ford of Germany, the Capri was a sort of Euro-Mustang, lighter and better handling than the American pony car.
They're hard to find today, but if you can, the 2.6 liter V6 is the one to get, said McKeel Hagerty.
