In an episode of the Comedy Central TV series South Park, Gloria Allred makes a comical, albeit unauthorized, appearance to represent Big Gay Al, who sues the Mountain Scouts, citing discrimination for removing him as scoutmaster because he's gay. After he wins the lawsuit, Al refuses to rejoin the organization and says, "Freedom is a two-way street. If I'm free to express myself, then the scouts must be free to express themselves too ... I will continue to persuade them to change their minds, but this is the wrong way to do it." The cartoon Allred reacts by calling him a "homophobe."
