My mentor: Best advice

I think the days of having a single mentor might be numbered. I have a whole cast of people who inspire me every day with their blogs and the like. But throughout my career, the people who've really helped me are the ones who've shown me that it's okay to be yourself. That you don't need to conform to a stereotype of a businessperson. That you should worry about being a decent and interesting person. And that business is a thing that you do -- not what defines you.
