Median family income (per year): $62,592

"Every Day In Middle Georgia Is Armed Forces Appreciation Day," according to the town motto. And that's appropriate because the military built Warner Robins, naming it after an Air Force general.

The U.S. Air Force base still dominates the economy, and that has brought engineers and other workers from all over the world. But military life also brings a lot of churn to the local housing markets as contract workers and military personnel come and go. The median home price here, $110,000, is very affordable for the typical family, which is making nearly $63,000 a year.
