Most of Wegmans' openings are in store operations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and, its newest venture, Northborough, Mass.
The chain has three stores opening within the next year and they will need to recruit at least 1,500 employees, including customer service team members, chefs, team leaders and department managers. There also are openings in its distribution and manufacturing divisions.
