Signal strength and battery life
Signal strength and battery life

The Droid X behaves similarly to the Nexus One or iPhone 3GS when cupped tightly: You lose some signal, but it's a slight dip, not the sharp plunge that can happen on an un-bumpered iPhone 4.

While the HTC EVO 4G traded battery life for its large size, the Droid X gives you the best of both worlds. We measured four hours of continuous Web browsing battery life, 8.65 hours over WiFi and nearly nine hours of straight talk time. While the Droid X won't last as long as the iPhone 4 when using the data connection, it is comparable to the 3GS and better than both when it comes to talk time. Compared to all of the other Android phones on the market, the Droid X offers the best battery life by far.
